Sign O' the Times.....................................................................................................by Mr Mojo Risin'

In the beginning

I think the earliest anyone has got up is to sing is Otis Redding in 'the midnight hour' but he might have stayed up as well and met, Simon and Garfunkel at 'Wednesday Morning 3.am ' for twenty one dollars in pieces of silver, I held up and robbed a hard liquor store' — Not a hell of a lot in today's terms, so not really a successful crime.

In terms of bittersweet one can think of Louis Armstrong crooning 'We've got all the time in the world' as James Bond falls in love, gets married then has his wife shot whilst on honeymoon in 'On her majesties secret service'... dammn

No wonder he hated Bloefeld who was driving the shooter's car and that mingin' communist who looked like my Standard one teacher who fired the shots.

Kenny Rogers and Sheena Easton (who sung for your eyes only) only needed one night.

Whereas Sheena E's old man took the morning train, worked from nine till five and then she's waiting for him or sumfin' like that. And being a joe lunch box can make time seem a lot slower than it is...

No wonder she ended up in Prince videos, I don't blame the girl.

Relativity of Time

Carl Jung spoke of Synchronicity being 'temporally coincident occurrences of acausal events'

Sting sung of it.

Pink Floyd were a bunch of trippy prog rock musicians who have unwittingly become involved in a very famous example of synchronicity.........maybe? It involves a number of strange coincidences when you start playing Pink Floyds seminal 1973 album at the third roar of the MGM lion in the 1939 movie 'The Wizard of Oz.'

Now with the help of modern technology we can see these coincidences without having to cue up the VCR and stereo, it's brilliant and better with a joint.

There are some that also believe Pink Floyds next album 'Wish You were here' takes up where Dark Side of the Moon finishes. Example; as the heroes reach the gates of the Emerald City the Floyd is launching into 'Welcome to the Machine'.

Its' Bob Dylan who put it so well the times they are a changing, Jim Croce wished he could save time in a bottle but Cher said it so succinctly..............................................................
