This
photo has been taken by talented young Italian photographer
Matteo Zanaria (www.matteozanaria.com).
Even though he seems to master all genres, his fav is 'street
photography':
"Street Photography for me is when everyone
sees and reads from the picture something that is different
from what I could have seen and thought at the moment of the
shoot or again, is different from what the actual subject
of the picture is really thinking and doing when I was picturing
him..."
Matteo has been in remote places such as the Antartica. He
has travelled around the world capturing those moments that
define a country, its culture, its way of living, its people,
the light, streets... A brave man, with a big heart, he had
planned a holiday trip to Sri Lanka just when the Tsunami
hit. Instead of cancelling it and staying in London, he decided
to fill his pack with medicines and there he went. After banging
in a few doors, he managed to get a 'job' as a volunteer in
an NGO and ended up managing a whole refugees camp! He is
a modern day hero (possibly a corny description) - someone
anonymus that has put others before himself. You can see the
recollection of that trip in his
site.
